Removals and corrections
The scanner publishes public radio traffic as it happens. When a call hurts someone more than it informs anyone, we take it down.
What we remove on request
- Names of private people, especially victims, patients and anyone under 18.
- Home addresses tied to a medical call, a death, or a crime against the people living there.
- Medical and mental-health details about a person who can be identified.
- Anything that puts someone at risk, such as the location of a person hiding from abuse.
What usually stays
- Public officials doing their public jobs.
- Calls at businesses, roads and public places, with no personal details.
- Calls that were simply unflattering but accurate.
Taking a call down removes it from the map, the feed and every page of this site. Search engines and copies elsewhere can take longer to forget it. If a call is wrong, tell us that too, and we will correct or remove it.
