- A. Introductions and Updates Aubrey will distribute the Attendance list - please review it for accuracy. New members: may have attended meetings before being sworn in; this is reflected in footnote. Status of OnBoard Committee member platform
- B. Review, Edit (if needed) and approve minutes Correction to approved minutes from the June 2026 meeting. Reference to May meeting should have read April, since there was no May 2026 meeting. This is correct on the official minutes visible to the public. Review Draft Minutes from October 1, 2026 meeting. Review Draft Minutes from September 14, 2026 meeting.
- C. Update on City staff implementation of LMO Soil Quality Permit Processing, review, and documentation of Pesticide or Fertilizer Waiver Applications
- D. Remaining Proposed LMO Changes to Discuss Invasive Species: we started discussing this at the October meeting. Based on how big an issue invasives are, and the number of Pesticide applications submitted, is it time to revisit this?
- E. Performance Turf InventoryStaff had prepared an inventory and audit of performance turf fields across South Portland for the October meeting, but it was deferred to November. It includes baseball, softball, soccer fields, and public and private golf courses operated by the Facilities Department, Parks and Recreation, the School Department, and Southern Maine Community College (SMCC).
- F. City Clerk Request for Annual ReportsCity Clerk Jessica Hughes sent the following on 10/13/26: "As the year comes to a close, I am asking for your help in coordinating with your respective Boards, Committees, and Commissions to prepare their annual reports. These reports are submitted to the City Council per Ordinance (Chapter 2) and allow the City to highlight the important work of our boards and committees over the past year.
- G. Update from Waiver Committee Aubrey and staff are working on a way to use AI to make it easier to process applications and document the review. (This process is very time-consuming) Waiver Application Update 25 Pepperbush, Pesticide, on 10/16. Input from Jesse? 11 Alder, Pesticide, on 10/16. Input from Jesse? 115 Providence, Pesticide, on 10/22 with full documentation via email.
- H. Role of surfactants (adjutants) in herbicide applications*This agenda item was deferred from the October meeting.
- I. Phosphorus sources for hydroseeding*This agenda item was deferred from the June meeting.
