    • A. Land Development Code Amendments
      • i. Amending the Land Development Code, § 165, Attachment 2 - Schedule A, Urban Developed Area to Remove Floor Area Ratio (FAR) from the Downtown Development District (DDD) This amendment would remove the Floor Area Ratio (FAR) limit of 4.0 from the Downtown Development District (DDD). FAR is an outdated and ineffective standard that was previously used to protect sunlight, neighborhood character, and control building form and bulk. The numerous historic districts and façade district that cover most of downtown currently help retain neighborhood character and control building form. Additionally, FAR is preventing infill development downtown for residential and commercial developments. Staff find that this amendment aligns with policy
