While the schedule is subject to change, we expect the project to be complete the week of October 5 and will continue to work with the contractor to expedite the process whenever possible. The Arts Commission is seeking submissions for two new downtown art projects. Both are focused on Joe Riley Park. Each summer, piping plovers make their way to Saco to nest, and the installation will give the birds a year-round presence in our community, where thousands of people pass by each day. Works can be either a 2D or 3D, and materials must be able to be installed in a manner that is sturdy, safe, and practical. For the project budget, artist fees, and submission details, visit our website at sacomaine.org slash arts commission. Also in the park is the traffic signal cabinet wrap. Saco Arts Commission has worked with local artists to beautify utility boxes throughout Saco. Now we're looking for a design for the box in Joe Riley Park that will complement a piping plover sculpture and take this everyday functional object from bland to vibrant and appealing. Artists with questions should reach out to Victoria Gorman, Economic Development Specialist at vgorman at soccomain.org. Just a reminder that City Hall, the Transfer Station and other customer service offices will be closed from 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on October 1 to ensure that all employees have the opportunity to participate in our annual employee appreciation event. Public access to the lower section of the Saco River remains open through the Camp Ellis boat launch until its seasonal closure in early November, or through the Marblehead boat launch in Biddeford. Wastewater treatment plant upgrades remain on schedule for completion early next year. Last week was IT Professionals Day, and we thank the SPRITE group for offering their skills and expertise to support the city's 15 other departments in making sure technology functions safely and reliable. The Saco IT team includes Director Ryan Pinero, Systems Engineer Henry Pelletier, Senior Network Engineer Joe Lambert, and Network and Security Administrator Jackie Banta. Last fiscal year, they responded to nearly 2,000 help desk support tickets and managed more than 750 devices and 74 applications. Thank you for all you do to keep Saco secure. [23:36] Mayor: You any questions or comments for the city administrator? Okay, moving on to item 10. That is council discussion and comment. Any councillors wishing to share? Thank you, mayor. First, I want to extend my.
[23:52] Councilor: Appreciation of the city and Public Works for their continued support down in Camp Ellis always during these weather events. They are challenging times, and our city does a actually tremendous job of making sure that the community and the citizens in that area are safe and taken care of. I would also like to mention, I don't use this term flippantly, this is not a tourist location for those that may be listening to us over the broadcast. Anyone who is traveling along that seawall puts yourself at risk in these weather conditions, and I would strongly suggest that you do not go down just to visit. You've got folks that do live there and have to live with that on a daily basis. But for the sake of having a visit, it is the wrong time to do that. Councillor Edwards? »» Maybe I should have brought this up earlier, but I was wondering why we didn't see minutes in this particular agenda. »» Why we didn't? I'm sorry? »» See minutes?
